Catholic
Men's Association (CMA) |
The Catholic Men's Association (CMA)
has been an integral part of the Parish since its founding. The
primary role of the CMA is to assist the Pastor in whatever good
works he deems required to promote the welfare of the Parish.
Any male member of the Parish, 21 years or older, is eligible to
become a member.
All adult male members of the Parish
are invited and welcomed to become members of the CMA and help your
Parish by becoming involved in one or several of its activities.

Gabriel Group |
Extends
a personal welcome to every new family that joins Our Light of
Christ faith family and encourages them to become active,
participating members. |

Girl Scouts |
We are a group of girls grades 1-3
for Brownies, 4-6 for Junior Girl Scouts and 6-9 for Cadettes.
We are primarily girls from the parish. We meet on Tuesday
evenings from 6:15-7:30 pm. All are welcome. (Sept.-May)

Golf Tournament
Committee |
Planning Committee for annual open
golf tournament in October dedicated in memory of our late pastor
Msgr. Timothy Allman. This is an affordable parish event for all
ages which raises money for different ministry's solely within
Light of Christ. We begin preparing in May (meeting once/twice a
month) and culminate in early October with a day long golf
tournament followed by a banquet and auction. Volunteers always
welcome in many areas of event planning, fund raising, marketing
and customer service. Absolutely
NO GOLF EXPERIENCE
NEEDED.

Health Fair |
|

Hi-Liters (55+) |
Hi-Liters is an organization
designed especially for men and women of our parish 55 years of
age and older to promote social, cultural and spiritual
fellowship among the senior members of our church family.
Special events that will be planned such as: interesting
speakers, trips to the races, theaters, concerts or local
cruises will be listed in our weekly church bulletin. Card
parties will be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month in the
John Francis Wing at 12:30 pm Sandwiches and desserts will be
served. Consult our church bulletin for specific details.

Hospitality Committee |
It is our mission to foster a warm
and welcoming atmosphere for all parishioners and guests - whatever
their interaction with the church might be. We work collaboratively
with many other hospitality-based groups such as the Ushers, the
Gabriel Group, and the Greeters. Our primary goal is to provide
appropriate food, beverages, and decorations for church and diocesan
functions hosted by Light of Christ throughout the year.

Knights of Columbus |
The Knights of Columbus is a
fraternal organization of Catholic men dedicated to the concepts of
charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. The Knights of Columbus
provide community service, support vocations, raise money for
exceptional children and volunteer for many parish lay minister
functions.

LOC-St. Cecelia
School Family |
Light of Christ - St. Cecelia School
Family. We are a group of Light of Christ parishioners whose
children attend St. Cecelia's School. We meet every other month.
Some activities include socializing, uniform swapping and sharing
information.

Married Couples Group |
Light of Christ Couples Group gets
together once a month for fun and fellowship.

Parish Social Events |
The purpose of the Outreach Committee is
to build community and evangelization within the parish through the
organization of social events and fairs. Some of the projects are:
"That�s Amore" (Italian Night) in October, Mardi Gras in March,
Senior Health Care Fair in January, and the Respect Life Garage Sale
in June. |

Seder Supper |
Usually held just before Holy Week, Seder is
an enjoyable prayer experience and a full meal in the context of the
ancient Jewish Passover! This meal of memory and celebration was Jesus'
Last Supper with His friends in the Upper Room, when He instituted the
Eucharist. The meal consists of lamb (or chicken to replace lamb - upon
advance request only), green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, wine (grape
juice for
youngsters), and cookies. Our Seder Supper is open to all parishioners
and their guests. Reservations are required. Watch the parish bulletin
for details of time, place and registration. |

Women's Guild |
The Women' Guild encourages women of
all ages to join together to promote spiritual and social
welfare of the parish family. Our purpose is to work closely
with the pastor, lending him support and assistance in achieving
his goals. One of the principal functions is fundraising, which
benefits all groups and members of the parish. Some of the
services provided by the Guild are coffee and donuts Sunday
mornings in the Parish Hall after the Masses, and numerous
charitable and community works.

Young Adult Ministry |
To provide an environment in which young
adults can share their faith, serve others and grow spiritually through
Diocesan activities, service projects, participation in parish ministries,
scripture study and fellowship. It is for you whether you are in school or
working, single or married, with or without children. |
