LIGHT OF CHRIST CATHOLIC CHURCH PARISH PICNIC 2012
The
schedule of the Parish Picnic planning meetings for Jan.
2012 is given below. All parishioners willing to offer
heir time and talent for the success of the picnic are
invited to attend. We welcome your ideas and comments.
It is also very important that all chairpersons from
last year attend the January planning meetings. It is
important to the success of the picnic that the
chairpersons from last year commit to being chairpersons
again this year. The efforts you provided last year are
greatly appreciated and needed again this year.
The next meetings are February 16th and 23rd at 7:00 pm

Community Workshop: All are welcome -
Needlecrafters- knitting-crocheting- crafts of all
kinds. New ideas would be wonderful to share. Morning
sessions begin Feb. 7th from 9am -11am on 1st & 3rd
Tuesdays of every month. Evening sessions begin on Feb.
2nd on 1st & 3rd Thursdays from 6:30pm-8:00pm. If
interested in signing up for classes, or for more

Need for ushers
There is currently a need
for ushers for all Masses, especially the 9:30 am Sunday
Mass. If you have ever entertained the thought of
becoming an usher, now is the time to act. The time
required of an usher is that needed for an assigned
Mass weekly and as needed at special liturgical seasons
such as Easter and Christmas. Ushers meet as a group
twice a year, duration of meetings less than one hour.
Next time you attend Mass speak with one of the ushers
and find out first hand what the duties of an usher are.
Please give it a try.
PASTORAL CARE MINISTRY IS IN NEED -
We are
in urgent need of Extraordinary Ministers who speak
SPANISH to bring Holy Communion to our Homebound
parishioners and Nursing Home residents. This is a
wonderful and rewarding ministry, which only requires a
few hours of your time. Please call Debbie at the
Rectory 441-4545 if you would like to volunteer. You do
not need to currently be an Extraordinary Minister, No
Experience Necessary! Training will be provided.
Extraordinary Ministers are also needed for the weekend
Masses at Light of Christ. Please call Ann Kaucher at
442-8044 if you would like to volunteer. No Experience
Needed! Training will be provided.
