Mission

The Light of Christ
Communications and Technology Ministry will
serve as a resource
to the Pastor, staff, and parish organizations
by assisting in
both internal and external communications
when requested.
Our goal is to increase timeliness, consistency, and
accuracy of information across the available communication
channels. By implementing technology and resources
effectively we can educate, inform, inspire, evangelize and
stay connected with our parishioners by providing
information on the many aspects of our parish community. We
will operate to help
foster better communication between parish
organizations, our parishioners and the community at large
and enable us to better live in the "Light of Christ".
Become a member of the
Communications and Technology ministry to lead or assist in
such projects as maintaining the LoC web site and the opt-in e-mail list;
sending out weekly e-mail messages; conducting classes and seminars on the
use of computers; and publishing the Annual Report.

Take Advantage of the Many Ways Light
of Christ Has to Communicate With You
Parish Bulletin - Be
sure to take home a copy after Mass each weekend. This is the primary
way you can be informed of the important events and activities of the
various parish ministries. It contains the information you need to be
an active participant in parish life. It contains key staff contact
information, Mass schedules, sacramental preparation information, and
news of all the important present and coming events.
Parish Bulletins
Parish
Web Site - For those of you who are online frequently you can
visit the site day or night at
www.locchurch.org and get information about parish activities,
learn how and who to contact in the various ministries, look up
Religious Ed schedules, and follow links to important Catholic web
sites. Current and back issues of the Parish Bulletin can be viewed or
downloaded in case you are out of town for awhile.
Weekly E-Mail Message -
You can choose to receive a weekly e-mail message that includes both
inspirational and informational content. Reminders of current
spiritual enrichment opportunities, ministry events, and key
liturgical dates keep you up-to-date on a weekly basis. You can
register online on the web site or just provide your e-mail address to
the rectory staff.

Parish
Annual Report -
Each
year we publish a comprehensive review of parish accomplishments and
finances as well as key statistics and demographic information. The
pastor has a chance to thank everyone for their investment of time,
talent and treasure and to inform and challenge us to continue as a
